the Institute for aboriginal development’s OWN sharon hayes IS ONE OF AUSTRALIA’S MOST WANTED! 12 August 2004 Kids Help Line have just the excuse you need to lock up your boss as the crew at the Institute for Aboriginal Development discovered when they nominated their Acting Deputy Director Sharon Hayes for NATIONAL LOCK UP YOUR BOSS DAY for Kids Help Line on Friday August 13. Sharon will be taken ‘prisoner’ by the staff – led by Sheriff Kenni-Anne Iles, Sharon will be swapping normal work attire for a prisoner shirt and handcuffs at 9am this Friday as the staff at the Institute for Aboriginal Development take charge and ‘lock’ their Boss up for one hour whilst Sharon raises $500 ‘Bail’ from colleagues and friends. “We’ve been planning the ‘arrest’ for weeks, I just hope Sharon has enough contacts to raise the bail money needed to be released!” said Kenni-Anne. You can help Sharon Hayes raise bail by visiting www.lockupyourbossday.com.au to make an online bail donation or call 1800 552 033 for telephone donations and mention Sharon’s name. With help from the Institute for Aboriginal Development, NATIONAL LOCK UP YOUR BOSS DAY is aiming to lock up 1,500 bosses across Australia and raise $750,000 for Kids Help Line to fund more cries for help from kids in need. Kids Help line is Australia’s only free, 24 hour, confidential and anonymous telephone and on line counselling service for Australia’s 5 to 18 year-olds. Kids Help Line currently answers over 10,000 cries for help each week across Australia. Thousands more continue to go unanswered. “This day gives workmates a fabulous opportunity to lock up their boss, building office morale and community participation – all for Kids Hep Line”, said Lyndley Sandford Reeks, Senior Marketing Manager Kids Help Line. “People like Sharon Hayes are essential to us in raising important funds to answer more cries for help.” To find out how you can lock up your boss go to www.lockupyourbossday.com.au and register online.
