Drive Vehicle (TDTC197B)

Length of course: 30 hours

Description:

This course involves the skills and knowledge required to drive commercial light vehicles and cars safely, including the systematic, safe and efficient control of all vehicle functions, monitoring of traffic and road conditions, management of vehicle conditions, and performance and effective management of hazardous situations.

Persons achieving this competence in this unit will need to fulfil all of the relevant State/Territory learner permit or driver licence requirements before driving a vehicle on a public road.

Pre-requisites:                                                                                                   

  • you must be at least 16 years of age
  • you must be a resident of the Northern Territory
  • if you are under 17 years of age, you must have Parental/Guardian consent
  • you must have passed an entry-level theory test based on the Northern Territory Traffic or passed an approved training program.
  • you must pass an eyesight test
